Biography

Elita Cistola was born in San Benedetto del Tronto (AP), Italy. From an early age, she developed a deep passion for singing and started her musical career. She took part in various competitions and TV shows and took lessons in opera singing and diction with the Soprano Carla Laudi. She acquired her bachelor's degree at the University "La Sapienza" in Rome, with specialization on literature, music and performance. Subsequently, she continued her studies at the academy of music "G.Braga" in Teramo under the soprano Stefania Donzelli and graduated summa cum laude.

 During following years, she participated in a production of the Laboratorio Ensemble, directed by Federico Paci, and performed together with the actor Roberto Marinelli at the theather "Margherita" in Ascoli Piceno. Her acquaintance with Roberto Scandiuzzi, the internationally renowned bass, turned out to be a turning point in her development. In the theater of San Carlo, Naples, and in the opera house of Lyon in France (April 2016), he advised her on her choice of repertoire and provided her with significant input for her career.In 2014, she moved to Vienna, the city of music, where she perfected her voice with the help of soprano Julia Conwell. In Vienna and several other places in Austria, she made her debut as Fiordiligi in a production of Così fan tutte, W.A.Mozart, directed by Robert Simma (stage direction) and Elena Gertcheva (musical direction). The following year she could be seen as Donna Anna (Don Giovanni, W.A.Mozart) on several stages in Vienna, also directed by Robert Simma. In 2017, she sang the part of the Queen of the Night (The magic flute, W.A.Mozart) and enthralled the audience with her dramatic and agile voice and her unique stage presence.
